Very carefully...There are some creases and lumps, but we try to minimize them by using "Modge Podge" sparingly. Also if any paper is too creased, we would rather cut it out and apply another paper over it. Lastly, if you have anything you want to show off (in the case above, news articles), we suggest you let everything dry and place your showy pieces on a dry decoupaged surface. We finished it off with several coats of water-based polyurethane, giving each coat a few hours to dry in between. Thanks for asking!
